Connecting humans with nature through the use of technology.
While working at Nurun, the City of Montreal asked us to create a digital companion for the Biodôme—an ecomuseum complex dedicated to raising public awareness about biodiversity and the importance of its protection.

The challenge laid at the very heart of the mandate itself: bring people closer to nature through technology.
Visitors come to the Biodôme to disconnect from their daily lives and immerse themselves in diverse and extraordinary ecosystems.
How could a digital companion reinforce the Biodôme’s mission of reconnecting humans with nature, while remaining unobtrusive?
Imagined a dark, discreet interface to reduce distractions, preserve battery, and improve visibility in dark spaces.
Delivered quick-to-scan content with large typography and visuals, helping users stay immersed in nature.
Designed a customizable experience, with optional interactive features like quizzes and AR, accessible through QR codes.
An experience adapted to the uniqueness of every users
Leveraging the museum's scientific content and users journey based on customer research, I developed the information architecture and high-level flows.
Those high-level flows and users journey helped define the application's role throughout the museum visit.
A better way to explore the Biodôme's fascinating ecosystem and its species.
The app allows visitors to explore the various ecosystems, animals and plants through geo-localization. User can also discover events and attractions to help them plan their visits.
Education through interactive play
Working with the scientists of the Biôdome, many types of interactive quizzes that encourage visitors to observe, question and validate what they see in front of them were developed. Keeping visitors engaged, informed and entertained.
